This November Colorado has decided that they would like the opportunity to vote to legalize Marijuana in their state. They have also decided that their choice for GOP President should be a guy that wants to execute Marijuana smokers and homosexuals. " Santorum voted to increase penalties for drug offenders. Santorum does not support medical marijuana or recreational marijuana. Santorum is a supporter of the death penalty, "When there is certainty, that's the case that capital punishment can be used." 

Why Does Colorado hate itself? Does Colorado need an intervention?

Are the vast majority of Cannabis supporters in Colorado, Obama Democrats? 
The same Obama that told us MMJ raids would be low priority, right before he unleashed the dogs with bigger crackdowns than even Bush could muster?

The drive to legalize marijuana has long been a fringe cause, associated with hard-core libertarians and college-age stoners. But it could go mainstream in a big way in this November’s election, when Washington could become the first state to legalize recreational pot use. The idea that a majority of voters could support legalizing marijuana may seem far out — but the polls say otherwise. In many states, the prolegalization and antilegalization camps are roughly equal in size. In a poll of Washington state voters released last month, supporters of the legalization referendum outnumbered opponents: 48% vs. 45%. And Washington probably won’t be the only state voting on marijuana this year. In Colorado, supporters last week fell about 3,000 signatures short of getting a legalization measure on the ballot — but the law gave them 15 days to collect the rest, and it seems likely they will. Activists are also collecting signatures in other states, including California, Michigan and Montana.

Cannabis Science Inc., a pioneering US biotech company developing pharmaceutical cannabis (marijuana) products, has introduced 4th cancer patient with basal cell carcinoma (skin cancer) on his left nostril, who is self-administering a topical cannabis extract and having noticeable results.

Cannabis Science has received images and documented information from this 4th patient who has basal cell carcinoma on his left nostril. The patient is enrolled in a photographic mole-mapping programme at the University of Colorado Hospital and is examined annually. The last time he was examined was in October of 2011, where his doctors found a small bump on his left nostril that was less and 1/8" in diameter, and believed it to be basal cell carcinoma. At that time it was too early to be certain if it was in-fact basal cell carcinoma.

By January 2012 the small bump on his left nostril had grown slightly and had developed a rough scaly texture similar to his previous episodes of basal cell carcinoma. DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota jury acquitted one of two Lithuanian men accused of trying to transport nearly 50 pounds of marijuana from Washington state to Chicago two years ago, and the other man voluntarily left the country.

The jury deliberated for less than an hour Thursday before finding Arturas Teras not guilty of possession with the intent to deliver the drugs, The Dickinson Press reported

Donatas Jasiulionis, who was also arrested during the November 2009 traffic stop, returned to his European homeland and will face immediate arrest if he ever returns to the U.S., said his attorney, Kelly Armstrong.

Stark County State’s Attorney Tom Henning said it’s unlikely authorities will try to extradite Jasiulionis. Read more...

HALF MOON BAY, Calif. — 

San Mateo County authorities on Wednesday seized more than 1,500 marijuana plants, approximately 19 pounds of processed marijuana and several guns from a Princeton warehouse complex that was being used to conceal an illegal indoor marijuana grow operation and a residence connected to the operation.

The estimated value of the processed marijuana recovered is $60,800 and the value of the plants is approximately $1.2 million, authorities said.

The San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force, with the assistance of the Half Moon Bay Patrol Bureau of the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, executed two search warrants Wednesday night after receiving an "investigative lead from a reliable source," according to the task force.

​Regulate Marijuana Like Wine, a marijuana legalization measure vying to get onto the November ballot, has only $80,000 in cash on hand, according to finance records. But in a poll released this week, it had potential support from 62 percent of likely voters -- and that, ballot proponents say, is quite literally money in the bank.

"That shows funders we can win," said Steve Kubby, a South Lake Tahoe marijuana activist and member of the Regulate Marijuana Like Wine's campaign committee. "Anytime you're polling over 60 percent, you command anyone's attention."

And history just might be on RMLW's side: Those poll numbers are also close to where Proposition 215 was 16 years ago, before the nation's first medical marijuana laws were approved by a million vote margin in November 1996, Kubby noted. Those are also rosier numbers than 2010's Proposition 19 -- which earned more votes than former Republican gubernatorial nominee Meg Whitman -- enjoyed before its historic defeat.

It's still going to be an uphill climb: Organizers have 30,000 signatures thus far, a fraction of the 504,760 validated signatures from registered California voters needed to qualify Regulate Marijuana Like Wine for the ballot (closer to 750,000 or more are in reality needed, allowing for invalidated scribbles and other snafus). Nonetheless, the poll means several billionaires are at this moment crunching numbers and deciding whether to bankroll the initiatives, Kubby told SF Weekly Thursday
